Career
Tony is a globally recognized cybersecurity and business leader with expertise as a Chief Technology Officer (CTO), risk expert, consulting leader, advisor, and strategist with over thirty-five years of global experience.
He was most recently CTO of Attivo Networks which was sold in 2022 for $617 million to SentinelOne (NYSE:S). Today, he serves on the Board of Advisors for TDI Security, helping guide their growth and strategy. He also serves on Gula Tech Adventures (a cybersecurity Venture Capital firm) Foundation arm on their Grant Committee helping give back millions to our community and drive a more diverse workforce.
Tony previously served on the (ISC)² Board of Directors as Treasurer and Chair of Audit and Risk, where he was elected and represented over 150,000 global security professionals and helped successfully lead the CEO search. He also served under appointment by the NASA Administrator on their Advisory Council, advising the NASA Administrator and his team on risk management for the enterprise and their missions. He also served in previous appointments to the FCC CSRIC-V (Communications Security, Reliability, and Interoperability Council) by the FCC Commissioner and on President Obama’s NSTAC (National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee) IOT Security Subcommittee where his team created and released an important IOT security report to the President.
Prior to Attivo Tony built numerous successful global business lines while an executive at Recourse Technologies, Symantec, McAfee, and FireEye, which included consulting, product, and security operations centers around the globe focused on minimizing risk while lowering cost. He has deep world-wide expertise in cybersecurity requirements and the associated development of security products and services to meet those needs.
His career has spanned engagement across the US military (including chartering the Pentagon Computer Incident Response Team (Pent-CIRT), governments around the globe, startups, large publicly traded companies, acquisitions (public and private), IPO, mergers, venture capital, and continuous work with incubators and accelerators to keep a pulse on new risk management capabilities. He's been a requested advisor at Central Banks (including briefing Central Bank Governors in Basel on cyber threats), the G20, media, NATO, and many others to discuss all facets of cyber risk, technology, and associated processes and policies.
